I am happy that finally I got my new domain in Arabic Script قوبعة.شبكة that points to my web site domain name koubaa.net
I chosen شبكة or .shabaka as an Internationalized domain name (IDN) gTLD for my personal domain it does translate to my original domain registered under .net or “network” from Arabic and is the commonly used term for the Internet.
An IDN is an Internet domain name that contains at least one label that is displayed in software applications, in whole or in part, in a language-specific script or alphabet, such as Arabic, and encoded by computers in multi-byte Unicode. IDN domain names are stored in the Domain Name System (DNS) as ASCII strings using Punycode transcription.
Other than generic top level domains, many Country Code Top Level Domains ( ccTLD ) has launched IDN ccTLD including different Arab countries : الجزائر. (al-Jazā’ir, Algeria), مصر. (Masr, Egypt), الاردن. (al-Urdun, Jordan), فلسطين. (Filastin, Palestine),قطر. (Qatar), السعودية. (al-Saudiah, Saudi Arabia), سوريا. (Sūryā, Syria), تونس. (Tunis, Tunisia), امارات.
